“Knowledge of other people’s Beliefs and ways of thinking must be used to build bridges, not to create conflicts”-Kjell Magne
Being human, it’s really fascinating how every heart is loaded with all kinds of different Beliefs. In all probability, while going through the whole human experience, no two individuals in this world, would have beliefs which are absolutely identical about everything there is out there.
What is a Belief though? To keep it real simple; a Belief can be defined as anything one believes to be true.
And, among the many things that make humans so amazing and unique; the ability, along with the inclination to believe or disbelieve in something, is most fascinating.
And, beliefs - Especially about the unseen world, and the study of their diverse origins across cultures – be they supernatural beliefs or spiritual beliefs – is an incredibly interesting topic for the spiritually curious among us.
For the most part, people of faith across most religions recognize that it’s the presence of a soul that makes a human- human. Without a soul, we are not too different from animals.
And, being human – Beliefs are such an integral part of every soul. Most certainly, no human exists without some sort of beliefs buried deep within. While some beliefs are a natural gift from God, others are seemingly acquired by the soul’s unique upbringing, and the conditioning it goes through thanks to the unique environment it is exposed to. And of course, while some beliefs could be really true, others may well be false, or partially true.
This world we live in – has never been more interesting as far as beliefs are concerned. Given our place in human history, every conversation now has the potential to devolve into a serious argument without much hope of a friendly reconciliation.
